La diversification des cultures pour viser l\u2019autonomie fourrag\u00e8re \u00e0 La R\u00e9union<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

D\u2019apr\u00e8s une \u00e9tude de l\u2019ARP [Association R\u00e9unionnaise de Pastoralisme]<\/strong> la production fourrag\u00e8re locale s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 110 000 tonnes de mati\u00e8res s\u00e8che. Et le besoin des \u00e9leveurs est estim\u00e9 \u00e0 110 000 tonnes. Tout pile ? <\/span><\/p>

Et bien d\u00e9trompez-vous ! Car d\u2019une part la production n\u2019est pas \u00e9quilibr\u00e9e sur l\u2019\u00eele, d\u2019autre part les al\u00e9as climatiques peuvent fortement fragiliser cet \u00e9quilibre. Ainsi en 2020 la fili\u00e8re \u00e9levage s\u2019est retrouv\u00e9e en d\u00e9ficit de fourrage.<\/span><\/p>

L\u2019autonomie fourrag\u00e8re est bien un enjeu local essentiel sur lequel nos partenaires ont entam\u00e9 plusieurs d\u00e9marches\u00a0de sensibilisation et d\u2019accompagnement technique aupr\u00e8s de la fili\u00e8re<\/span><\/p>

Ce 5 Novembre 2021, la SICALAIT<\/strong> accompagn\u00e9e d\u2019ARVALIS<\/strong>, l\u2019ARP <\/strong>et de\u00a0l\u2019ARMEFLHOR<\/strong> ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des pistes de d\u00e9veloppement possibles \u00e0 la R\u00e9union au centre de formation FORMA’TERRA<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

Quelles solutions pour notre fili\u00e8re laiti\u00e8re locale\u00a0?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h1>

Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des productions fourrag\u00e8res existantes telles que les prairies, la SICALAIT et l\u2019ARP travaillent sur l\u2019optimisation des itin\u00e9raires techniques\u00a0: sur-semis, renouvellement des prairies, am\u00e9lioration de la fertilisation\u2026<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

L\u2019innovation propos\u00e9e par la SICALAIT\u00a0doit d\u2019abord r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 l\u2019enjeu de \u00ab\u00a0trouver une culture fourrag\u00e8re de qualit\u00e9 assurant une rentabilit\u00e9 au producteur<\/em>\u00a0et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9leveur <\/em>\u00bb d\u2019apr\u00e8s son directeur des op\u00e9rations,\u00a0 Mr Romain Lucas.<\/span><\/p>

Les apprentis du BTS APV [Agronomie Production V\u00e9g\u00e9tale]<\/strong> ainsi que les enseignants et formateurs en agronomie et zootechnique de FORMA’TERRA ont ainsi pu d\u00e9couvrir les pr\u00e9mices d\u2019une production innovante : la culture de ma\u00efs et sorgho conduite selon un ITK grandes cultures.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Les premiers essais de la coop\u00e9rative laiti\u00e8re men\u00e9s sur 150 hectares ont permis de mener les premiers chantiers d\u2019ensilage de ma\u00efs. Et ce \u00ab\u00a0nouvel\u00a0\u00bb aliment test\u00e9 chez quelques producteurs ont montr\u00e9 une augmentation significative de la production laiti\u00e8re. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces premiers r\u00e9sultats engageants, la SICALAIT se fixe un objectif annuel de 350 ha de surface \u00e0 cultiver en ma\u00efs et sorgho.<\/span><\/p>
